Kiwanis, through guidance and example, works to develop future generations of leaders. Every day, Kiwanians are revitalizing neighborhoods, organizing youth-sports programs, tutoring, building playgrounds, and performing countless other projects to help children and communities.

The Feed the Hungry Campaign for 2012 has started! Visit area Winn Dixie stores to participate. There are $5 and $10 bags available for purchase. These bags will be given to local food banks to feed those in need over the holidays.

Young Child Priority OneSeptember 18, 2012

September 13th 2012 the Kiwanis Club of Anniston gave out monies raised by thier Pancake Breakfast held in March. Each recipeint attended the Thursday meeting and gave a brief description of how the money would be used. The campaign is known as Young Child Priority One and focuses on non-profit agencies which help children. This years recipeints included: 2nd Chance, All Saints Interfaith Center of Concern, Berman Museum of World History, Anniston Museum of Natural History, Boys & Girls Clubs of East Central Alabama, Community Enabler, Coosa Valley Youth Services, Alabama Baptists Childrens Homes & Family Ministries, Bir Brother & Big Sisters of NE AL, Alabama Council-Boy Scouts of America, East Central Alabama Cerebral Palsy, YMCA of Calhoun County, Family Links Success Academy, Pre School Friends, United Way of East Central Alabama, March of Dimes, Public Library of Anniston/Calhoun County, ARC of Calhoun & Cleburne Counties, Calhoun Cleburne Children's Center, Independent Reading/Counseling Service, Cheaha Creative Arts, NE Alabama Crisis Center, Calhoun County Community Dev. Corporation.
